About this tender
The Council of the Borough of Kirklees (the "Council") is conducting this procurement exercise, in accordance with the Light Touch Regime of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (SI 2015/102), and intends to establish an Electronic Market Place ("EMP") with Providers with relevant experience and ability to assist vulnerable migrants, asylum seekers and refugees. Vulnerable migrants, Asylum Seekers and Refugees face difficult practical situations or face barriers in accessing and engaging with services. Coming to a new place can be disorientating and confusing. We are looking for providers who can provide support and integration services to asylum seekers, refugees and migrants living in accommodation within the Kirklees area. We want to ensure those seeking protection will be supported and encouraged to become independent as soon as possible by developing local connections, networks and by enhancing the skills and strengths they bring to Kirklees. Therefore, the Council is seeking EMP Members who will be able to deliver work in any of the following types of areas (note this is not an exhaustive list) : • Community Integration • Specialist advice and support • Cultural awaren
