About this tender
West Yorkshire has a strong manufacturing economy worth £7.7 billion and employing around 110,000 people. The region is home to nearly 6,000 manufacturing SMEs which play a crucial role within local, national and international supply chains. However, there is currently a gap in dedicated supply chain support, with many SMEs facing challenges around supply chain fragmentation, procurement readiness, diversification, access to new markets and engagement with larger organisations. These challenges can limit business growth, competitiveness and resilience. The Combined Authority is seeking to procure an experienced delivery partner to design and deliver a comprehensive supply chain support programme across West Yorkshire. The programme will support manufacturing SMEs to strengthen supply chain capability, diversify into high-growth sectors including defence and energy security, improve procurement readiness, secure relevant accreditations, adopt new technologies and access opportunities with OEMs, Primes and larger organisations.
