The Defense Health Agency seeks one award to develop a Barrier Combination prototype: a physical wound barrier infused or impregnated with antimicrobial and/or antifungal activity. Work covers preclinical testing, clinical trials, manufacturing and regulatory submissions toward FDA approval or clearance, over an estimated 54 months. The final product must reach Technology Readiness Level 7 at FDA submission.
