US Army seeks partners to make Abrams tank engine parts and fix supply bottlenecks
The US Army's Integrated Logistics Support Center and CPE Ground are looking for commercial partners to solve supply chain and manufacturing problems for the AGT 1500 engine used in the Abrams main battle tank. The work covers approximately 166 critical and single source components, with solutions in traditional second sourcing, advanced manufacturing, or raw material provision. The Army also wants technical data rights and diagnostic access so it can maintain and repair the engine itself.
Who can win it
- Must be a US citizen; the Industry Day is at a secure military facility and is US citizens only
- Must have a valid DD Form 2345 and a verified CAGE code to receive restricted technical data
- Must state quality management certifications and NIST SP 800-171 compliance for handling controlled unclassified information
