The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District, will carry out maintenance dredging in the upper half of the Wicomico River in Wicomico County, Maryland. A hydraulic dredge and pipeline will remove about 250,000 cubic yards of silts, sand, clays, mixed shell, gravel and other material to a depth of 14 feet, placing it at the Sharps Point upland site near Salisbury. Two weir boxes will be built at the placement site before dredging. The construction duration is about 120 calendar days from Notice to Proceed, with a construction magnitude of $4,000,000.00 to $8,000,000.00.
