Provision of dedicated Bed Bug and Cockroach Management Services prioritising patient-care areas, including wards, patient beds and furniture, nursing stations, and doctors’/nurses’ duty rooms and other source areas addressed as necessary. Treatment shall prioritise non-toxic and low-exposure methods, including professional steam treatment, controlled localized heat treatment, appropriately registered desiccant treatment, gel baits and monitoring devices, and shall permit treatment of occupied areas without requiring patient relocation. Where pesticides are used, only appropriately registered, low-exposure and non-odorous formulations suitable for use in occupied healthcare areas shall be applied.
