askTender in your AI assistant

Ask Claude or ChatGPT about tenders. Get live answers from askTender.

Connect askTender to Claude, ChatGPT or any assistant that supports MCP connectors. Search open government tenders worldwide, check whether your company can bid, read every requirement and get the bid kit, without leaving the conversation.

Connector addresshttps://asktender.org/mcp

How to add it

Three steps. Under a minute.

01

Add the connector

In Claude: Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector. In ChatGPT: add a connector (app) from Settings, where your ChatGPT plan allows it. Paste the address below.

02

Sign in to askTender

The assistant opens askTender’s own sign-in page. Sign in, choose a plan if you don’t have one, and approve the connection. Your askTender password is never given to the assistant.

03

Ask in your own words

“Find road construction tenders in Kenya closing this month.” “Can my company bid on this one?” “What does the bid kit need?” The assistant calls askTender and answers from live data.

Your data

What the assistant sees, and how to stop it.

Do I need an askTender plan?

No, for public tender search, tender facts, the can-my-company-bid check, guides and plans: those work without signing in. Tools that use your own company need an askTender plan; each tool’s plan is in the table above.

What can the assistant see?

Only what its askTender tools return: public tender data and, once you’ve connected your account, results based on your company profile, saved tenders, watchlist, bids and plan. It never receives the files you upload; the bid kit lists which documents you already have, by name.

Can it change anything?

Three tools change your account: saving a tender, adding to your watchlist and starting a managed bid. Every other tool only reads. Assistants are meant to use these three only when you ask, and most ask you to confirm first. Nothing is ever filed on a portal without your sign-off.

How do I disconnect?

In askTender, go to Settings → Account → AI assistants connected and press Disconnect; the assistant loses access at once. Removing askTender in the assistant’s own settings also stops it.

Can text inside a tender instruct the assistant?

askTender tells every assistant that tender text is data from a public portal, not instructions to follow.

Where does the data come from?

Official public procurement portals in about 200 countries, refreshed daily. Every tender links to askTender’s page for it, which credits its source.
