The Ministry of Defence, through the Director General of National Cadet Corps, is buying quad copter development and assembly kits with a 650 to 700 mm class frame, brushless motors, 40A 6S electronic speed controllers, 32-bit ARM Cortex-M7 flight controllers, propellers, power distribution boards, power modules, shock absorbers, 6S 8000mAh LiPo batteries, 10-channel radio transmitters and receivers, GPS and compass modules, telemetry kits, wiring and connectors, and LiPo battery chargers. The total quantity is 41 kits, to be delivered to Kollam within 30 days. The contract covers supply, installation, testing and commissioning, with a one-year warranty.
