Battery cell fabrication and testing framework for labs able to make and cycle Li-ion and Na-ion cells
CPI is setting up a multi-supplier framework for cell prototyping services: electrode manufacturing (mixing, coating, calendering), cell assembly in coin, pouch and cylindrical formats, and electrochemical testing such as formation, cycling, GITT, EIS and HPPC. Providers receive slurry formulations, coated electrodes, cell specifications and test protocols, and return finished test-ready cells, performance data and technical advice. The framework runs from 15 December 2026 to 14 December 2029, with a possible 12-month extension, and is estimated at £800,000 excluding VAT.
