The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers plans maintenance dredging of recurring bottom sediments (sand, silt and clays) in the U.S. Exclusive Use Area of Yokohama North Dock, Berths 1-7 and A-L, in Kanagawa, Japan. Work covers hydraulic or mechanical dredging and transport and disposal of dredged material. The contract is intended for local sources only and will be awarded through sealed bidding after prequalification.

Who can win it

• Must be physically located in Japan and licensed and registered to perform construction in Japan
• Must hold a Japanese civil construction (doboku isshiki koji) license by the prequalification due date
• Joint ventures qualify only if the joint venture itself or each member meets the local source requirements
