The tender in brief
DARPA seeks designs for 100W-20kW high-energy lasers that run at high duty cycle on small platforms
DARPA's Strategic Technologies Office is searching for engineering designs for moderate-power high-energy lasers, 100W to 20kW, that can fire repeatedly for long periods in size-, weight- and power-limited systems such as armored vehicles and uncrewed aircraft. Submissions should cover scaling, cooling architectures, wavelength flexibility and beam coherence. Solutions are reviewed on a rolling basis under the ERIS marketplace.
Who can win it
- Teams with significant combined expertise in laser technology
- Solutions must be post-competitive and awardable through the ERIS marketplace
