Northern Railway is buying 3,680 metres of XLPE cable rated up to 1.1 kV, to IS 7098 Part 1, in six delivery lots across Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Uttar Pradesh. It is a supply-only contract with pre-dispatch inspection by RITES. Delivery is 60 days per lot.
Who can win it
- Must have supplied similar cable for at least 20% of the bid quantity in one of the last three financial years to a government body or public sector unit
- Must be a Class 1 or Class 2 local supplier under the Make in India order; non-local suppliers cannot bid
- Authorised dealers or distributors must provide a bid-specific authorisation certificate from the manufacturer
