Northern Railway is buying 4,950 metres of four-core, 120 sq mm aluminium XLPE cable rated up to 1.1 kV, made to Indian Standard IS 7098 Part 1. Delivery is split across four depots in Ambala and Kalka (Haryana), Bathinda (Punjab) and Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh), each within 60 days. It is a single-packet, goods-only supply contract with pre-dispatch inspection by RITES.
Who can win it
- Must be a Class 1 or Class 2 local supplier under the Make in India order; non-local suppliers cannot bid
- Must have supplied the same or similar cable for at least 20% of the bid quantity in one of the last three financial years to a government body or public sector unit
- Must hold a BIS licence for the offered cable and upload it with the bid
