New York City request for information on an electric truck charging incentive program in the Bronx

The New York City Department of Transportation is gathering information and assessing interest in a possible Electric Vehicle Charging Incentive Program funded by the Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority. It would direct $7 million for electric vehicle charging infrastructure in three Bronx mitigation communities: Crotona-Tremont with the Bathgate Industrial Business Zone, Northeast Bronx with the Eastchester Industrial Business Zone, and Pelham-Throgs Neck with the Zerega Industrial Business Zone. The program would complement the New York City Clean Trucks Program and provide financial assistance to fleets adopting battery electric vehicles, covering eligible costs of private or public truck charging infrastructure.

Who can win it

  • Fleets located in the three named Bronx communities or doing significant business and travel there
